Kalotaszeg

About 40 villages in Kolozs county belong to Kalotaszeg. The Transylvanian noble ornaments from the 17th century can be found in these region s costum. Women's skirt called "muszuj" or "bagazia" was made of satin and has black colour.
They wore lots of underskirts as well.
Their head-dress was very famous because of the glass, pearl, butterfly ornamentation. The name of girls head-dress was "párta" and the women's one was "főkötő".
